Beton Technology Srl performs the packaging of specimens for each control on fresh concrete.
The cubic specimens are made in formwork 150x150x150mm.
The specimens are identified during the preparation by appropriate markings unique and immovable, that will perform the tracking of samples.
Within 48 hours of preparation, the specimens are collected on site by the same technical staff and will be matured in maturation tanks with water in a constant temperature of 20 + / - 2 ° C
until the break.
Our laboratory is equipped with a 3,000-kN press, calibrated and certified to perform compression testing specimens up to 200 mm.
The indirect traction is carried out on cylindrical specimens with diameter 150mm and height 300mm.
The packing of the cylinders follows the same procedure used for cubic test pieces (see the section compression).
For indirect traction we use the same press used for the compression fracture of the cubic specimens.
The determination of the depth of penetration of water under pressure is
essential to perform a test of waterproof concrete, for which Beton Technology Ltd can boast a remarkable experience.
The test is performed on cubic specimens of side 200mm. The packaging of the specimens is as described in the section of the compressions.
The representative sample is aged in water at constant temperature up to 28 days. Once matured, the specimen is subjected to the action of water for 36 hours at a pressure of 5 bar, which
corresponds to the pressure generated by a column of water 50m. Then, the sample is taken at break.
The cube is then divided into two parts. This will make it possible to detect the penetration of water in mm.
Beton Technology S.r.l. performs the following tests on aggregates for concrete:
BT performs particle size analysis using the sieving of aggregates in wet or in dry mode with VIBRATING
SCREEN according to UNI EN 933-1
The elastic modulus express the ratio between the tension and the corresponding strain measured in the same direction of tension.
